A lifelong connection to South Africa
Growing up in South Africa meant that travel, wildlife and the outdoors formed part of life from an early age. Family journeys led through all nine provinces, revealing how dramatically the country changes from one region to the next—from coastlines, forests and mountain ranges to bushveld, farmland and wide-open wilderness.
Further travels through Mozambique and Tanzania deepened that appreciation for African landscapes and wildlife. This connection is rooted in more than animal sightings; it includes a strong understanding of wildlife, the ecosystems that support it and the importance of treating animals with respect in their natural environment.
It has also included contributing to efforts aimed at preventing rhino poaching in KwaZulu-Natal. Safari Souls Africa provides a way to share that knowledge and show travellers the depth and diversity of South Africa beyond the places they may already recognise.
